The commercial realism of Oxford Street in London now contrasts sharply with the imagery of the people on the street. The crisis has deeply affected the images of human beings we see in public, and the advert of the woman model now looks completely out of place, from another time, of another world. Instead, the woman in front of the advert, with her gloves and mask, now represents the image of human appearance we have all become accustomed to in 2020.
